Can DSLR Photography and Drone Photography Compliment Each Other

I recently went on a mission to capture what I classify as an orbit video. This technique allows the drone to circle an object while slowly gaining elevation. This is a very useful technique to get a 360 view of an object. The are times, when I arrive at my destination and it is no longer practical to fly. Too many people, weather condition is not right, etc. I always make safety my first consideration. However, there are other opportunities, so I try to make the best of the situation. Therefore, I always take my DSLR camera with me when I go on a mission to fly my drone. I will even take it a step further and say any camera you bring along will suffice.

As illustrated by the above photographs, I was able to take advantage of not being able to fly my drone from this location. It was very windy so I decided to postpone my mission. Also as the day wears on, this location becomes popular with low flying helicopters, and airplanes. Had I not brought my camera along, all would not have been lost. What a beautiful place to come sit, and enjoy the scenery. Fortunately, I enjoy both DSLR photography and drone videography/photography, so I don't mind carrying the added weight. So, the answer to my question, "Can DLSR Photography and Drone Photography Complement Each Other?" The answer is yes.
